Welcome to the web's best source for vintage audio documentation!

                               Located in beautiful Grants Pass, Oregon

Our Mission

We strive to provide highest quality vintage audio owner's and service manual reproductions. Quality and service are our main goals.

Tired of getting copies of manuals that are missing pages, diagrams cut off, pages crooked, obscured data and overall poor quality scans and photocopies of manuals for your vintage gear??? Well, you're in the right place. We don't even own a photocopier. We use only professional quality scanners and printers and go the extra mile (or more) to make sure your manual is complete, and as close to an original as it electronically possible. In fact, many of our manuals are better than the originals, which are often printed on tissue paper with poor contrast making them difficult at best, to read. We approach every manual as a piece of art. We aren't the cheapest but I can assure you, we are the best.

Please Note: Due to some strange phenomenon I do not understand completely, my cable internet experienced a surge, or short, that has taken out my primary computer used for e-mails and image clean-up/manipulation. Mainly, it fried the motherboard, processors, memory and primary hard drive. Hard drive has been forensically dissected/data recovery but they were only able to save about 10% - 15% of the data so some scans are lost and almost all of my e-mails that were on the drive are lost. In addition, my internet access will not be back up until at least the 10th of September. I am currently using a public access wireless account at a pool hall down the road and it is very sporadic and slow so please remember this when sending us e-mails. It may take a few days for us to see it and be able to respond. Thank you in advance for your understanding and patience.

What Makes Our Manuals Better?

 We are first and foremost, dedicated vintage audio enthusiasts and collectors. We have nearly a quarter century experience repairing and restoring our own gear in our collection. With this dedication and passion to the vintage audio arena, we make sure that every manual we reproduce is as accurate to the original as possible and that things like schematics are crystal clear so you can actually complete the restoration of that prized piece. Your manual is NOT reproduced by an $8.00 an hour person who only knows how to hit the start button on a copier and with absolutely no interest or understanding of the vintage audio collector and what they want/need. We have the interest, dedication and technical know-how to produce a high quality product to meet the desires/needs of the vintage audio community.

Manual Recycling

Are you a shop owner or employee? Do you find yourself tight on space for your library of manuals? Do you periodically "thin out" the collection? How do you dispose of them? We would be more then happy to take them off your hands and keep them out of the landfill. We would cover packaging/shipping costs and could establish a working relationship providing you with manuals you require at a discounted price.  That way, they don't fill up the landfill and instead, they end up being available to all vintage audio enthusiasts worldwide. Questions? e-mail us

Make sure and check our products page where you are sure to find manual's for that prized piece of vintage audio gear.

NOTE: Did you know that we buy manuals too? That's right we do!  So if you have manuals to sell or even "rent out" for a few days please contact us.

***Please, please make sure your e-mail programs will accept e-mails from me. If you don't, you will probably not get a response as it ends up in a spam folder or rejected altogether by your e-mail server. This gets to be frustrating and time consuming trying to figure out a way to get through to you. That time could be spent better answering other customers (or potential customers). Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Do you buy, restore and resell vintage audio? Make sure to offer the owner's manual to go with it as this will surely increase it's value. We can even ship the manual directly to your customer. Also, we can provide the service manual to help you complete that restoration.

~~~Are you or do you know of a good repair facility in your area that works on vintage audio? If so, let me know and I'll add you to a master list that I can refer people to when they need a repair. I average a dozen or more requests for repair facility information each week so this could help drive business to your repair facility. Just give us a name, address, phone number and web address (if available) and we'll add you to the master list. Thanks!
Here are Pics of a couple of my personal systems, and a few helpers.
.
^- A couple of pieces I use for testing various equipment after repairs. NAD C340 integrated amp and C-520 CD Player. Doesn't get any more basic than these two pieces.
^- Some of my spare equipment (most fully restored and functional) from top to bottom: Pioneer PD-M500 CD Changer (faceplate removed), Pioneer ELITE PD-M900 CD Changer, Pioneer PD-M901 CD Changer, Nakamichi CDC-3A CD Changer. Also not pictured,  Nakamichi TA-3A Receiver (protection circuit problem), Pioneer PD-F605 CD Changer, 2 Technics SL-P1200 DJ CD Players, etc....
/\- My faithful helper, Mr. Friskies hard at work.
^-- A doe with a couple of new fawn in the front yard.
Here is Mr. Friskies. Yes, he plays fetch with furry mice or his favorite fetch toy, a cheap AM loop antenna. I finally found a use for one of these things. :-)
Our newest addition, a 4 wk old rescue, Gizmo, weighing in at 12 ounces. -------------------->
And once again, here is Mr. Friskies enjoying his daily vacuuming. He loves it and doesn't want it to stop once started. Sometimes he acts more like a dog than the cat he is supposed to be.
Yes, now Gizmo also loves to be vacuumed. They both take turns every day.
Yes, he is actually eating his peas. This little guy will eat almost anything, including greens. He is now 9 pounds, fit and trim.
See our new Feedback page to see what our customers say about our products and service.
07/10/2010  See our newly updated page on various CD players. Also, if you have a Pioneer ELITE CD Player that maybe doesn't work and want to find it a new home, I am in the market for ones that do not work and/or are inexpensive.
***Please note that this site is NOT cluttered up with lots of banner ads and other detracting garbage. We prefer to have a clean and user friendly website devoted to vintage audio. We make it a point to answer every question or request for a manual. We prefer the personal touch in conducting our business instead of a lifeless automated site where you have no idea what is going on or how to contact an actual person. You get a live person response with every e-mail we receive. With this personal method of conducting business, we would also appreciate a reply from you of your intentions one way or the other so we may devote our time and attention to those who wish to follow through with a purchase. Thank you!
 06/28/10 - Major update of manual lists in progress, should be done by August (hopefully).
07/11/10 - Also on our news page is a list of a few parts and services we are currently seeking.   NEWS!
^From bottom to top: Pioneer SX-5570 (Euro SX-950) Receiver, Pioneer PD-7100 CD Player, Pioneer PD-M70 CD Changer, Pioneer GR-551 Equalizer, dbx 1BXIII. Speakers on the sides are Polk Audio S10's
<- From bottom to top: Panamax 5100, SAE 2100L Preamplifier, Nakamichi 680ZX, Pioneer ELITE PD-71 CD Player, Pioneer ELITE PD-M90X CD Changer, Soundcraftsmen RP-2215R, TASCAM CD-RW700 CD Burner, Phase Linear 300 Series II Power Amp, dbx 3BXIII, dbx 120X, dbx 400XG, Magnum Dynalab FT-11 FM Tuner. Speakers are JBL SE38BEs with JBL PSW-D112 Sub.
Also have a McIntosh MX114, MC2200 and MC2105 as part of yet another system I'm working on as well as a couple of shelves full of Nakamichi, Carver, SAE, etc not yet put to use. It's an addiction that never seems to end.
^ My office surround system from bottom to top: Carver TFM-15CB (sub amp), Pioneer ELITE VSX-05 5.1 Receiver, Pioneer ELITE PD-M59 CD Changer, Pioneer ELITE PD-59 CD Player,  Samsung DVD-AR650 DVD-R, DISH 811 HD Receiver, Panamax 4300. I'm using Infinity fronts and center, Polk Audio rears and a homemade sub using two 8" Infinity drivers with a Polk Audio 10" passive radiator, which is quite a thumper.
\/ More spare equipment. From top to bottom, Akai GX-F71 (needs a belt if I can find one), SAE R6 (second of 2), Pioneer SA-7800.
\/- Queen of the office, Suds, helping out. :-)
/\-Weighing in at 2 lbs 2 oz. now, Gizmo, the rescue is already learning the ropes here in the office. UPDATE: Now he's 5 pounds and loves American sliced cheese.
Here's the newest addition to our collection of wildlife visitors, Forest the Brown Bear. He got into the trash before we took it to the landfill transfer station. Fortunately, he doesn't really like people so when he sees us, he makes a run for it, hence his name. Run Forest, run...  :-)
